For the intending haj pilgrims, the opportunity to attend the Audience and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam prior to their departure to the Holy Land was a precious moment. The grant of His Majesty's Personal Fare, the government fare and the fare to new converts reflects the monarch's concern to the intending haj pilgrims.

As they arrived at Istana Nurul Iman, the intending haj pilgrims made their registrations. Lunch was also provided. Before the Audience and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony, the intending haj pilgrims performed the mass Fardu Zuhur and Sunnat Hajat prayers.

A comfortable waiting room was provided for the intending haj pilgrims prior to the audience and junjung ziarah ceremony. His Majesty's Government continues to emphasise their welfare aspects throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

Ihram attire and telekung were given to intending haj pilgrims, as a symbol of His Majesty's care for the welfare of intending haj pilgrims.
